Schaeffler, a dynamic global automotive and industrial supplier, is
seeking a Sales Specialist to support our North America Automotive
Aftermarket Division in Valley City, Ohio (20 minutes from
Cleveland). The primary responsibility of a Sales Specialist is to
achieve the business plan or budget for the assigned customers.
This responsibility includes maintaining relationships with
existing and target customers, expanding the customers' purchases
of Schaeffler products, supporting the customers' growth plans for
Schaeffler's brands, also prospecting for new customers based on
established sales strategies within sales Market.
Sales, Customer, & Other Responsibilities of This Role:
Identify markets and product opportunities.
Meet the monthly sales plan.
Manage customer contracts
Analyze customer sales performance, fill rates, and delivery
Forecast, analyze gross margin, and drive improvements
Makes strategic direction presentations to senior management
Attend industry trades shows
Travel up to 15%.
Professional, courteous, prompt, and efficient with customer
Prepare customer quotation packages
Develop and drive a business plan for all top customers
Maintain and improve customer relations and support customers with
their purchasing decisions
Gain understanding of customers distinct circumstances/needs
Customers to follow up on sales leads and close sales
Responsible for customer training.
Assist customers looking for hard-to-find parts via various parts
Support the long-term strategy for each customer.
Become technically proficient in Schaeffler applications to review
and present proposals to customers.
Monitor the A/R activity and participate in dunning procedures
where A/R are overdue or other collecting measures are
Knowledgeable of automotive product categories and their applicable
Various special projects may also be assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent experience
1 - 5 years of sales experience
Experience within Automotive Aftermarket is desirable.
Automotive product and manufacturing industry knowledge a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong Negotiation skills
Strong MS Office skills; particularly Excel
Individual must be energetic and capable of creative problem
solving and multi-tasking.
Excellent customer management skills.
Strong math skills to navigate pricing discount structures.
Must be able to work effectively in both a team and independent
Strong analytical and organizational skills
SAP, Salesforce & Microsoft Teams experience is a plus
