Clark-Reliance is currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to help support overall plant operations in a high-mix, low-volume, fast paced environment with a stable and long-term career in a growing company. The Supervisor will supervise assembly and paint production technicians in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate for this position has a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and systems, possesses excellent communications skills and has a 4-year degree and/or related experience. The supervisor role reports to the Director of Manufacturing and is considered part of the company's management team. The candidate must lead by example and adhere to Company Standards and policies.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSafety leader for production areas; implements and enforces compliance with safety standards and practices including but not limited to: PPE, Energy Lockout, Vehicle Safety, and Hazard Communication.Analyze, plan, and adjust work with established daily priorities and schedules to meet customer requirements.Maintain production records and related paperwork.Confers with peers to coordinate activities of individual departments.Investigate and take necessary action to eliminate production delays.Recommend new procedures or equipment to facilitate operations, improve quality, and reduce costs.Review processes for continuous improvement.Support and implement lean manufacturing techniques.Manage human resource activities within the area of accountability, to include staffing, performance management, salary administration, and other related activities.Effectively perform material handling activities such as crating, packing, shipping, receiving, picking, lifting, moving and using materials handling equipment when necessary. (such as: lift trucks, tow motors, cranes, high lifts, etc.)Utilize small and large tools, hoists, dollies and other devices when necessary.Comply with all safety procedures in each area assigned, including but not limited to, wearing protective clothing, special handling of chemicals, special handling of product, safety/rescue equipment usage, etc.Run business errands.Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.Required Experience and EducationBachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or seven years related manufacturing supervision experience.
