Clark-Reliance prides itself on the development of its employees and finds way to continue to grow every year.What is a Student Welder?A Student Welder will learn to operate and monitor a variety of welding and fabrication machinery and tools for the purpose of production.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate must currently be enrolled in High School and enrolled in welding classes or a welding program.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet-up and operate welding and other equipment utilized in the qualified weld and fabrication areas. Qualification is based on ability, training and experience.Pass the welder qualification test (ASME), when required by the Company.Perform the various welding processes, such as MIG, TIG, Stick, etc. utilized for the qualified product lines.Weld a variety of metals, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, monel, nickel, etc.Inspect, test and/or evaluate all parts manufactured in the specific weld/fabrication area, and perform quality related analysis.Perform routine preventative maintenance as required to maintain equipment in top operational order.Comply with minor labor laws if applicableMay perform material handling activities such as crating, packing, shipping, receiving, picking, lifting, moving and using materials handling equipment (such as: lift trucks, tow motors, cranes, high lifts, etc.) when necessary (only if trained on equipment at school).Utilize small and large tools, hoists, dollies, and other devices after training when necessary.Comply with all safety procedures in each area assigned, including but not limited to, wearing protective clothing, special handling of chemicals, special handling of product, safety/rescue equipment usage, etc.Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.Required Experience and EducationCurrently enrolled in High School.
