and long-term operational performance. The Role As a Sr. Logistics
Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and
efficient transportation and distribution of goods. You will be
responsible for coordinating and monitoring logistics operations,
from procurement to delivery to meet customer demands and optimize
processes. Responsibilities: • Arrange transportation for goods,
including negotiating rates, selecting carriers, and scheduling
shipments to ensure timely delivery. • Schedule and coordinate all
FTL (full truck load shipments). • Oversee and manage all LTL
shipments to and from vendors and to/from customers. • Schedule and
coordinate container shipments, including managing shared
containers across multiple vendors or customers, and maintain
accurate container schedules. • Schedule and coordinate LTL AIR
shipments from INTL suppliers. • Prepare and manage all required
international shipping documentation—including Commercial invoices
and SLIs. • Plan, coordinate, and track all trade show shipments to
ensure timely delivery and return. • Generate and manage
transportation quotes. • File and track freight claims as needed. •
Develop and maintain a centralized system for tracking and tracing
all shipments. • Upload and organize all transportation
documentation, including quotes, Bills of Lading (BOLs), Proofs of
Delivery (PODs), and shipment images. • Create and compile shipping
packets for submission to the accounting department. • Create INTL
shipping labels when needed for INTL suppliers. • Develop, review,
and enforce standardized processes across all transportation
channels. • Escalate and resolve critical shipment delays, missed
deliveries, or cancellations in a timely manner. • Serve as the
main point of contact for logistics partners, suppliers, and
internal teams. Communicate shipment status updates and resolve any
issues that may arise during transportation. • Continuously assess
logistics processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the
overall logistics function. Manage and execute international
shipping activities, ensuring adherence to import/export
regulations, customs requirements, and company standards.
Qualifications: • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a
similar role with international shipments. • Experience with ERP
software especially Great Plains is a plus. • Strong understanding
of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and logistics
software. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. •
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced
environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics
management software. • Attention to detail and strong
problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work independently as well
