This position involves operating heavy-duty trucks on regional and national routes, collaborating closely with a co-driver to safely and efficiently transport goods across various locations. Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck on scheduled routes to deliver goods. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, recording and reporting any issues or safety concerns. Adhere to all local and national safety laws and regulations, as well as company safety policies. Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation of cargo. Maintain communication with dispatch and respond to any change in schedule or route in a flexible and timely manner. Handle documentation related to cargo, route, and fuel expenses accurately and comprehensively. Proficient in operating a commercial heavy vehicle. Excellent navigation skills and knowledge of national traffic laws. Strong communication and teamwork skills, essential for coordinating effectively with co-drivers and logistics personnel. Ability to manage schedule and routes efficiently. Experience in basic vehicle maintenance and safety compliance.
