Position Title: Software Engineer - Python Developer

Hybrid: Onsite to Cleveland, OH and Pittsburgh, PA (three days a week)
Position: CTH, will look at candidates who do not need sponsorship


Requires an in-person interview in Pittsburgh and whiteboard coding test.
Job Summary:
Responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. Responsible for creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the final program after it has been made.

Job Responsibilities:
--- Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
--- Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
--- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.
--- Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system.

Skills:
--- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
--- Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
--- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
--- Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
--- Knowledge of computer development software, such as SQL, Java, J2EE, etc.

Education/Experience:
--- High School Degree and Bachelors degree in computer science/relevant field or equivalent work experience required.
--- 4 to 5 years experience required.


Roles and Responsibilities:
Developer Role .
List 3-4 daily duties in order of importance.
--- Ability to leverage understanding of business requirements to build optimal solutions.
--- Designing, developing and maintaining data processing pipeline in pandas.
--- Data analytics of semi-structured and/or unstructured data to address business problems within the Credit Risk financial domain.
--- Develop easy to use documentation for the frameworks and tools developed for adaption by other teams
--- Provide full operational support - analyze code to identify root causes of production issues and provide solutions or workarounds and lead it to resolution.
--- Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, deployment and operations support.
--- Perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
