JOB SUMMARY The Retail Shift Leader reports to the Site Leader and is responsible for assisting the Site Leader and Assistant Site Leader with managing assigned team members and assigned operational activities/functions of the car wash. This includes assisting with customer service, site maintenance, team management, training, opening and closing the car wash, and adherence to company policies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work with the Assistant Site Leader and Site Leader to manage the team and oversee assigned aspects of the site. Assist with implementing and enforcing policies, procedures, and the employee handbook. Open and close the facility as scheduled. Train, coach and onboard new team members and franchisees on car wash processes and procedures at different franchise locations. Foster a culture of exceptional guest service and engagement. Ensure all team members provide quick, friendly, and high-quality service. Learn and operate all aspects of POS and LPR systems. Retain & create new customers; addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner. Complete daily car wash site, equipment, and grounds maintenance including updating and maintaining logs, inventory, and reports. Complete, update, and maintain checklist tasks Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of car wash and grounds, including completing and enforcing wash cleaning list, oversee wash cleaning, and bringing attention to any required maintenance. Maintain and refill detergents, wash supplies and other inventory items. Identify and correct wash quality issues. Learn and uphold the WE OWN IT culture. Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisor. Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Dependable, motivated, and a team player. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional retail environment. Car washing operating hours are Sunday through Saturday, operating a minimum of 14 hours per day. This role routinely operates in all areas of the car wash facility, including indoor and outdoor work. You must be willing to work hard, build relationships and LOVE people! While performing the duties of this job, the team member must be: Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to move about inside the office to access file cabinet and office machinery, etc. Able to effectively communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information. Able to move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. Able to work and commute in all weather conditions. Able to work indoors and outdoors. Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers, grasping and clench. Able to travel.
