About the Clinician‘s Workday The cardiothoracic surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical coverage on a 24-hour call basis with daily call requirements. Responsibilities include performing general cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries such as coronary artery bypass procedures, congenital defect repairs, valvular repair and replacements, aneurysm repairs, lung resections including VATS procedures, chest wall and pleural procedures, esophageal and diaphragmatic surgeries, and endarterectomy procedures.
