Medical Lab Technician for a local contract job in Detroit,

Technician Duration: 13 weeks of Contract to FTE Location: Detroit
MI Shift Timing: Day Shift 8-5, Monday through Friday (Potential
Flex hours 9:-5 or 9:30 - 6:00) Required skill with schedule Notes:
•/tRequired Experience: 3 years and up •/tImportant: We are looking
for a resource with sample receipt and accessioning, and lab bench
experience rather than phlebotomy •/tCertifications: BLS , MLT is
plus •/tTechnology: Epic, Sunquest CoPathPlush (LIS) •/tPrior
experience in clinical labs, handling specimens and comfortable in
PPE. A fair amount of testing is prenatal testing. Job Summary:
•/tUnder direct supervision by laboratory technologist, leader
and/or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs
select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens,
involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments
and information systems. •/tMay perform phlebotomy as needed.
Skills: •/tAbility to communicate effectively with others.
•/tDemonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge
sufficient to perform laboratory functions. Education:
•/tCompletion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory
