This role focuses on managing advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and arrhythmias, including care for patients with implantable cardiac devices and those preparing for or recovering from cardiac procedures. Responsibilities: - Provide skilled nursing care to patients with advanced cardiac conditions such as heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and dysrhythmias. - Manage care for patients with implantable devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and Ventricular Assist Assist Devices (VAD). - Assist patients undergoing pre- and post-procedural care including cardiac catheterization, ablation, and chemical cardioversion with anti-dysrhythmic medication. - Deliver comprehensive medical-surgical nursing support when serving as a backup for hospitalist services. - Monitor patient status closely, including electrolyte imbalances and arrhythmias, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize care.
