Job Description:
Job Description Full-time, 40 hours/week 7pm-7:30am Hybrid NICU,
PICU, Special Care Nursery experience preferred. Summary: The
Assistant Nurse Manager assists the Nurse Manager with assessing,
planning, implementing, and evaluating delivery of patient care on
assigned units on 24-hour basis. Responsibilities: 1. Adds value as
a key member of management; understands the business, financials,
industry, customers and strategy. 2. Supervises employees, provides
direction, coaches, trains, develops, and manages performance to
company goals and expectations. 3. Prepares, manages, and adheres
to department budget to maintain expenditure controls. 4. Assists
Nurse Manager in maintaining operational aspects of the patient
care unit in collaboration with support services. 5. Assists Nurse
Manager in contributing to nursing and the Hospital through support
of philosophy, objectives, educational efforts, and research
efforts. 6. Other duties as required. Other information: Technical
Expertise 1. Experience in clinical pediatrics is required;
clinical experience in assigned area is preferred 2. Demonstrates
positive interpersonal relationships which enhance communication,
promote conflict resolution and facilitate staff development. 3.
Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software
is required. Epic software or similar EMR software is required.
Education and Experience 1. Education: Bachelor of Science in
Nursing [BSN] is required; Master's degree [MSN] is preferred. 2.
Certification: Registered Nurse licensure is required. • Current
Health Care Provider BLS training from the American Heart
Association is required. • If assigned to general care units, PEARS
is required. • If assigned to critical care units, PALS, ACLS,
TNCC, and/or NRP is required. • If assigned to ED, Surgical
Services, Sedation Services, Transitional Care/Epilepsy Monitoring
Unit, and Transport, within 1 year of date of hire PALS, ACLS,
TNCC, and/or NRP is required. 3. Years of relevant experience: 5 to
7 years is preferred. 4. Years of experience supervising: 3 to 5
years is preferred. Full Time FTE: 1.000000 Status: Fixed
