hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Labor and
Delivery (Travel Assignment) Job Overview: Monroe’s Labor &
Delivery unit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a
13-week travel assignment specializing in obstetrics and postpartum
care . The RN will provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care
, managing high-risk pregnancies, stabilizing neonates, and
supporting deliveries. Key Details: Start Date: July 7, 2025 Shift:
12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, three shifts per week)
Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 36 Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
(Friday-Sunday) Floating: Not required Qualifications: Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP required; AWHONN
Advanced/Intermediate Fetal Monitoring preferred Charting System:
Epic required ( HARD STOP if candidate does not have Epic
experience) License Requirement: Active Michigan RN license
required Specialized Responsibilities: Labor & Delivery Management:
Assist with high-risk vaginal deliveries, C-sections (circulate &
scrub), operative vaginal births Manage hemorrhage/shock cases ,
recovery post-C-section Perform sterile vaginal exams and
amnioinfusion Neonatal & Postpartum Care: Stabilize neonates in
special care nursery (transfer out if necessary) Support
breastfeeding and lactation , fundus/lochia/perineum care Educate
parents on cord care, newborn identification, metabolic screening,
phototherapy Care for postpartum complications (e.g., HELLP
Syndrome, preterm labor, VBAC) Additional Notes: Scrub Colors:
Green scrubs provided Local Candidates: Must be outside 45-mile
radius Time Off Policy: Up to 7 days off (excluding holidays) must
be submitted upfront Observed Holidays: Facility follows Michigan
