6-12 days per month onsite requiredSummary:
The Director of Analytics is responsible for leading the
organization's data strategy, encompassing data governance, data
science, artificial intelligence (AI) and business intelligence
(BI) functions. This role ensures the effective use of data to
drive business decisions, optimize operations, and enhance
strategic initiatives. The Director will oversee teams dedicated to
data governance, data science, and BI analysis, fostering a
data-driven culture throughout the
organization.Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive
data strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for
leveraging data to drive business solutions.
- Data Governance: Establish and maintain data governance
frameworks to ensure data quality, integrity, and security. Develop
policies and procedures for data management, ensuring compliance
with relevant regulations and standards.
- Data Science: Lead the data science team in developing
predictive models and advanced analytics to support business
objectives. Stay abreast of emerging data science & AI
methodologies and technologies to incorporate into the
organization's practices.
- Business Intelligence: Oversee the BI team in designing and
implementing reporting systems that provide actionable insights to
stakeholders. Ensure the delivery of accurate and timely BI reports
to support decision-making processes.
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop team members
across data governance, data science, and BI functions. Foster a
collaborative and innovative environment that encourages continuous
learning and improvement.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning and execution of
analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and
timely delivery. Manage resources effectively to meet project
milestones and objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between
analytics teams and other departments, ensuring alignment and
understanding of data initiatives. Communicate complex data
concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable
manner.Other information:
Technical Expertise:
- Proven experience in data governance, data science, and
business intelligence.
- Strong understanding of data management principles and
regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management
skills.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and platforms, including
Epic Cogtio, Power BI and Databricks.
- Experience with data governance tools such as Informatica,
Alation, Unity Catalog, and Purview.
- Proficiency in the technology and analytics related to the
administration of provider and/or managed care health insurance
networks, including those related to Clinically Integrated Networks
(CIN) or Accountable Care Organizations (ACO).
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is
strongly preferred.Education and Experience:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree is required, Masters preferred,
preferably in Information Management, Healthcare Informatics,
Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related
field.
- Relevant Work Experience: A minimum of Five (5) years of
leadership experience with strategic program execution in a
healthcare analytics environment is required.
- Supervisory Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of
supervisory experience is required, with a preference for
candidates with five (5) or more years in supervisory roles.
- Leadership in Complex Initiatives: Demonstrated capacity to
lead complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives in coordination with
