and in communities. The Key Account Manager II - Aerospace &
Defense role is an ideal role for someone with a strong Account
Management background, ideally in the government or Aerospace and
Defense arena. This position is great for those who enjoy growing
business with customers and fortifying strong relationships.Use
your customer focus, business acumen, and technical aptitude to
promote sales and profitability with key assigned accounts. This
position will be responsible for the sales and support of
Donaldsonproducts inthe Aerospace and Defense business
unit.Ideally, this person will work out of our Bloomington,
MNheadquarters.Role Responsibilities:
- Account manager of key aerospace & defense OEM (or prime)
customers within Donaldson's Aerospace & Defense Division
- Align to business strategies and priorities through forecast
planning, sales and profit goals
- Establishes, cultivates and enhances customer relationships in
order to grow business through proactive engagement
- Initiates, participates in, an directs presentations,
negotiations, business proposals and other communications designed
to drive sales.
- Understands the market and market data and to articulate market
outlook to management team
- Manages project execution, including of coordination of
cross-functional teams to ensure customers' needs are met
- Evaluates projects for strategic fit, potential risk, financial
feasibility, technical capability, and manufacturability, and
presents viable opportunities to management for final project
reviewTRAVEL: Up to 25%Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of sales experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experiencePreferred
Qualifications:
- Proven sales record exceeding goals
- Military or defense industry experience through working with
prime defense contractors or US Government a plus
- Familiar with US Government audits and DFARS requirements
- Strong business acumen and commercial background in contracts,
RFPs, and product development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic planning and tactical implementation skills
- Strong mechanical/technical aptitude and ability to explain
products to customer
- Sales engineering experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills and typing skillsKey words:
