Overview The Senior Sales Engineer plays a crucial role in the
sales process, bridging the gap between technical expertise and
customer needs. The Senior Sales Engineer will provide technical
support to sales teams, conduct product demonstrations, and guide
prospects through the decision-making process. The Senior Sales
Engineer will help with closing deals by addressing technical
concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities and
Duties (The following is a list of the main duties and
responsibilities. It is not meant to serve as an all-inclusive
list. This position is required to perform other duties and
responsibilities as assigned.) Customer Relations management.
Customer Service phone support. Develops PR drawing concepts,
equipment sizing requirements, product packaging, project
schedules, and installation scopes. Failure mode analysis. Field
support troubleshooting. Follow up on proposals. Forecasting.
Mentor junior sales engineers in sales techniques, help foster
relationships with existing customers. Negotiate contracts
including terms and conditions. Organized and cost-conscious
customers visit logistics. Preforms quality control functions
(inspections, vendor visits, shop review.) Proposal follow up and
conversion to orders. Proposal review prior to customer visits.
Qualify and submit proposal requests. R&D support. Reviews
drawings for accuracy and concept. Sales database management
Supervise the manufacturers representative. Trade shows, regional
meetings, seminars. Work with vendors in development of quotations.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a
related field is preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in
sales or a related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Strong negotiation and closing skills. Ability to build and
maintain client relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Suite. Highly motivated and goal oriented. Strong problem-solving
abilities. Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a positive attitude. Sales certifications such as
Certified Professional Salesperson (CPSP) or similar are a plus. A
valid driver's license is required. Physical requirements include
the ability to use Company automobiles, standard computer
equipment, and file drawers. In all cases, Surface Combustion Inc.
