Job Description:
The Launch Engineer is responsible for providing Controls and
Robotics support during design, installation and launch phase of
new program manufacturing equipment. Duties include writing
specifications and interacting with contractors and project teams.
The Launch Engineer is responsible for the validation of all
equipment to the FCA NAFTA Controls and Robotics standards as well
as state and federal codes. They are also responsible for tracking
equipment build and resolving Controls and Robotics issues from the
equipment design phase through the installation. In addition to
their core responsibilities, the Launch Engineer must also manage
their documentation, software and final deliverables including
hand-off to FCA Vehicle Assembly Plants and implement IT
applications and part traceability requirements as outlined by
Vehicle Process Engineering (ME).
