Location: Global Pump Facility / Service Department / Davison, MI Shift: 2nd (Afternoon) Typical Duties and Responsibilities: Apply coatings through conventional, airless and other types of spray systems Mix paints to desired colors and consistencies Perform grinding, sanding, polishing, and air-powered sandblasting to prepare surfaces Prepare, prime, and paint pumps, parts, and various equipment as needed Mask and cover surfaces not to be painted Operate and maintain paint spraying equipment Examine finished parts or equipment to ensure proper surface prep and finished quality Order paint and keep equipment in a safe, clean condition Qualifications: Previous experience in industrial painting or production painting A Good Learning Orientation Effective Time Management Ability to lift heavy objects (75lbs) and perform strenuous physical labor Ability to wear a respirator Ability to stand for long periods of time Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
