This role is crucial for preparing accurate estimates for projects by gathering information, analyzing important metrics, and conducting risk assessments. The successful candidate will assist in driving the financial and planning aspects of projects to ensure that they are completed within budget and scope. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and identifying risk areas in consultation with clients and project managers. Evaluate labor, material, and time requirements for all projects. Understand and apply codes, regulations, and standards applicable to the construction and use of electrical systems. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to gather and negotiate cost information. Review data and documents like analysis reports, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements to ensure accuracy. Consult with design, operations, and project management teams to forecast financial outcomes and make budget adjustments as needed. Prepare and present reports detailing estimated project costs, including the use of graphs and charts to communicate complexities more effectively. Strong analytical and mathematical skills Proficiency with estimating software like Bluebeam or similar Excellent time management and project planning abilities Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar preferred OSHA safety certification is advantageous
