Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, amortizations, and reclassifications, to ensure accurate financial reporting. Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, such as cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare and review the trial balance to ensure all accounts are properly balanced and discrepancies are promptly addressed. Lead and execute the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded and reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Analyze financial data and prepare variance analyses to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights to management. Assist in the preparation of schedules and documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT and operations, to support financial operations and strategic initiatives. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, assisting in the preparation for audits and liaising with external auditors as needed. What We're Looking For in an Accountant: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field. 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a technology or software company. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems); familiarity with cloud-based financial tools is a plus. Solid understanding of GAAP; familiarity with technology industry financial practices is advantageous. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
